Our Happy Little Guy |
As far as sleeping goes, Carter has made improvements. He now sleeps from about 9 o'clock until 4:30 a.m., which is a HUGE improvement from what he was doing just one month ago. He has really started enjoying independent play time and will now sit on a blanket and play with toys for longer periods of time.
One quirky thing we have learned about Carter is that he loves vegetable much more than fruit. He gobbles up all of the veggies we give him, but has to be coaxed to down his fruit, even if we give it to him first!
Carter loves his big sister and lights up anytime she walks into the room. He loves watching her play and move about. It is a lot of fun watching the two interact and Addy really makes an effort to play with and entertain him.
He is also quite the chatter box and loves to babble. Last Thursday (December 16th) he said dada for the first time and will now laugh after you say dada. Go figure...another one of my kids says dada first!
We took Carter to his six month doctor appointment on November 30. It had been scheduled to two days later, but I called to get in early because he seemed fussier than usual and was pulling at his ears. The doctor said he had an ear infection and prescribed him that lovely bubble gum antibiotic. At the appointment Carter weighed 22 pounds 6 ounces and measured 28 & 1/2 inches. He is a growing boy! Actually he measured to be the exact same height as Adalyn at 6 months and weighs about a pound more than she did.
