Pictures of March

After Adalyn's birthday party the month of March went by with a blur.  We enjoyed the beautiful weather by spending a lot of time playing outside, had a visit from the Coppernolls, and  headed to downtown Chicago for a mini spring break get-away.  I can't believe how quickly the month passed.  For the sake of getting caught up and back in present time I am going to forgo the LONG description of the last three weeks of March and I will just post some pictures with descriptions instead.  I know some of you will think I'm being a slacker for not writing, but I also know most of you will be relieved that you don't have to read my long winded post just to see pictures of the kids.  Well, don't get used to it; soon I will be back to my long winded journaling ways!!

Snapshots of March

These two little guys loved spending time together during our play date with the Coppernoll family!

Our "little stinker" at the Field Museum Children's Area

Both kids were big fans of seeing the dinos.

Check out those chompers!

Posing at the American Girl Doll Store.  Addy loved seeing (and asking for) all of the dolls and accesories.  Derek mostly cringed at how much money could be spent there!  :)  Luckily we got out with only one outfit  and a personalized t-shirt for Lucy!

The Museum of Science and Industry had a Myth Busters traveling exhinit.  It has a lot of interactice exhibits and was a ton of fun for everyone.  Carter and Addy spent a lot of time at the house building area where you would try to build a house that would withstand tornadic winds.

They also had an exhibit where you could try to remove a table cloth from a table set with dishes.
What this picture doesn't show is that Derek's dishes ended up on the floor.

Grandma;s dishes ended up on the floor too....

My dishes all stayed on the table!  I discovered a new skill that day and was darn proud.  I also may have bragged about it for the rest of the day. :)

We always knew that Derek would be a great clown!

This was the highlight of Carter's day!  The museum had a massive combine and tractor for visitors to sit in.  When I took Carter up to sit in the cab, he was on cloud nine and smiled from ear to ear the whole time.  He is definitely a fan of tractors!

Next time you guys are home, you need to take Carter to my parents' house so he can sit on a REAL tractor...you know the RED ones! ;D

I know you are partial to the "RED" ones, but all we see up here is GREEN! I've looked for red in the fields and haven't seen many!
